University of Maryland Garage #5 - College Park, Maryland

The 1,698 car parking garage is a design/build project for the University of Maryland at College Park. The structure will be a precast couble “T” construction on caisson foundations.

The exterior is architectural precast skin with brick masonry. The garage consists of five supported levels with an approximate footprint of 250 feet by 360 feet on a fairly level 5.0 acre site. There are two, 3,500 pound capacity, 125 feet per minute, hydraulic elevators and two enclosed stair towers with metal pan stairs.
