Carlyle Block G Headquarters - Alexandria, Virginia

ReStl Designers, Inc. was commissioned by Carlyle-Lane/CFRI, Joint Venture under the Architect Page Southerland Page to design this 160,000 square foot office/retail headquarters building.

This new 8 story, 160,000 square foot building contains 3 stories of office space, 2 stories of retail space, and a 3-story below grade parking deck.

The structure was a challenge due to the site being in an urban setting requiring deep excavation.

In order to overcome site restrictions and meet building requirements, there is conventional concrete flat slab framing below grade and conventional composite steel framing above grade. Steel cross bracing above grade and concrete sheer wall below grade resists the lateral loads.
